    Aims
VegSoc is managed by dedicated ethical food lovers, who are committed to bringing the best vegetarian cuisine that Bristol has to offer to you, the student. We run regular meetings at restaurants and cafes around Bristol in order to share our knowledge of the area. Bristol is great for vegetarian and vegan food, but many places are tucked away, and inaccessible if their location is unknown. After accumulating several years worth of knowledge, we have found some of the best places to go in Bristol, and want you to know about them too.

Since being formed some years ago the society has come on in leaps and bounds, with a dedicated base of welcoming and caring members and some exciting ideas for the terms ahead. Not only that, but we have taken an active role in educating the student population about the benefits of vegetarianism, with our stalls at the Global Fiesta and Fresher’s Fair. In recent years we have even made links with several campaigning societies based in the South west, such as Viva and BARC (Bristol Animal Rights Coalition), and so we are involved in all aspects of vegetarianism and veganism in Bristol.

That aside, the main aim of VegSoc is for a group of like-minded people to meet up regularly to enjoy the best food Bristol has to offer and to have a good time. What's more, VegSoc is just £3 to join, and you get a subsidised Christmas meal at Cafè Maitreya PLUS all of these amazing discounts.
