You can join the Aikido Club at any time during the year. Just turn up to a session and we will sign you up, or you can e-mail:

You do not have to be a student in order to join the club.

If you are new to aikido, we recommend that you begin by coming to one of our evening sessions.

Costs

Insurance and club membership

£5 will be charged as temporary insurance, which will cover you for a month and then you will need to pay another £5 to get covered for the rest of the year. (£23 top-up for non-students)

As we are part of the AU (Athletic Union), you will need an AU card which can be purchased during Fresher’s Fair and throughout the year in the Student’s Union.

Session fees

You can either pay £20 a term or £2 a session for mat fees. This money goes towards keeping the club going. Free if you don't have a Sports Pass, as the Sports Centre will charge you £5 entry.

Non-students

British Aikido Federation membership and insurance costs £28 for non-students. Session fees are the same as for students.
