Those beginning the unit should start their exploration of the pages underlying this home page by consulting in sequence the Introduction, Unit objectives etc. With these completed you can then proceed to the self-learning course unit materials located at Weekly assignments and thence on to the appropriate week. To obtain help, see Getting help. Those who, whether through owning their own computer or having access to a PC, who hope to complete this unit by means oth er than through using the computing facilities we provide should also read the notes on students' PCs.
