Who are the Friends?
The Aim of the Friends
To give support to and further the development of the Garden and its educational role.
To promote interest in botany and horticulture.
To provide a meeting ground for persons with these interests.
To give members the opportunity to see and learn about plants grown within the Garden.
Why become a Friend of the Garden?
For only £20 a year (or £27 for two at the same address), Friends of the Garden can have the following privileges:

- Members can actively support the important work of the Botanic Garden.
FREE access to the Botanic Garden during its public opening hours.
A FREE informative Friends' Newsletter four times a year.
Access to the Garden's seed list and the opportunity to obtain 10 FREE packets of seeds of your choice.
FREE series of lectures by renowned horticulturalists.
Arranged visits to gardens in the South-West and long weekend garden-visiting tours (small charges made to cover costs).
Access to an interesting range of courses and study days
The chance to meet like-minded garden-lovers during Garden events.
Access to Friends' social events and Garden's open scheme.
The opportunity to become involved in the work of the Garden as a volunteer helper, either with practical garden work, as a Garden Guide, helping at garden events, distributing the Friends' Newsletter or in many other ways. Over 150 Friends are involved in voluntary work at the Garden throughout the year.
